About Us

The Hollywood Book Directory is a monthly membership service that bridges Hollywood and the indie publishing world. It is a subsidiary of Legacy Launch Pad.

Any independently published author who doesn't have agent representation may apply for membership.

Membership is $9.95 a month and can be cancelled at any time.

By having your book listed on the Hollywood Book Directory, information about your book is put in front of producers who have the power to make your book into a movie or TV show. 

These producers and directors, who are constantly on the hunt for new Intellectual Property to option, will be scanning through the Hollywood Directory regularly.

Every quarter, all members will be invited to a virtual pitch session with an experienced Hollywood producer where they can receive direct feedback on how to produce their projects.

In short, becoming a Hollywood Book Directory means that your book will be regularly exposed to producers who can option your book in order to make it into a book or TV show while also giving you guidance on how to be ready for it if the email with the offer arrives,

If you are accepted for membership, you will receive a dedicated page on the site (see an example here) which our producers regularly peruse, in addition to viewing the books featured in each monthly packet. If, after seeing your book page, one of our producers would like more information about your book, we will provide an introduction. 

Keep in mind that a producer's needs vary widely—someone may be seeking a comedic novel one month and a business book to craft into a reality show the next. We are constantly adding new producers to our coterie so the longer you're a member, the better your book's chances of getting acquired.

THE HOLLYWOOD BOOK DIRECTORY WILL NOT BE INVOLVED IN ANY MOVIE OR TV DEALS THAT ARE A RESULT OF THIS SITE. WE ARE MERELY AN INTRODUCTION SERVICE.

THE ONLY REQUIREMENT FOR MEMBERSHIP IS THAT YOU OWN THE RIGHTS TO YOUR BOOK AND DO NOT HAVE AN AGENT.
